No matter what kind of appointment you are making, keep in mind that time has become a precious commodity - both yours and the person you’re making the appointment with. Etiquette for the nail salon is no different than etiquette anywhere else. Don’t intentionally treat others' time with disrespect. Nail technicians nearly all depend on their appointments to make a living, and when you don’t show up, it’s likely they don’t get paid. Some salons even charge you if you don’t show up. Technicians will usually understand if you have over scheduled yourself and can let them know as soon as you see you aren’t going to make it. The earlier the better, because there’s a chance that the tech can fill the vacancy with someone on a waiting list or with a walk-in customer.
While we encourage scheduling an appointment, we do welcome walk-clients, however, it is based on availability and if we are busy there may be a waiting period or you might have to schedule an actual appointment.
Your appointments are very important to our S&P Nail Bar team professionals. We hold your appointments just for you & ask that if you must cancel or reschedule any appointment, please provide us with 24-hour notice. This way, our team of professionals will be able to adjust their schedules accordingly and we may be able to accommodate clients on our waiting list. We do, of course, understand that unavoidable issues come up and will do our best to work with you in case of an emergency, etc. However, if last minute cancellations or ‘no shows’ become a habit, you will be charged a cancellation fee of the full service. Here is our general breakdown of cancellation fees:
We will always try our best to accommodate you if you’re running behind, stuck in traffic, etc. It happens, we know! However, your tardiness can affect the remainder of our teams’ day by delaying them for their clients who come in on time. For this reason, we have set a few general ground rules for such situations. Clients will generally be allowed a 15 minute grace period. After that time, there will be a $20 fee added to to your final balance.
We always want you to be 100% satisfied with your services. If you are not 100% satisfied we ask that you let us know before you leave the facility or please contact us within 3 days after your service so that we may schedule you to have your services corrected free of charge. Any issues reported longer than 3 days from the original appointment date will not immediately be considered as a redo but will be assessed on a case by case basis.
ABSOLUTELY !! NO REFUNDS.
Gratuity
Gratuity is not included in the price of service or salon packages, customary tipping runs 15% to 20% but is, of course, at your discretion. You may tip the nail technician immediately after service or upon check out at the front desk with cash, check or credit card. With parties of 5 or more a 20% gratuity will be added to the final bill.
As a courtesy to others, please silence your cell phones and other devices. Do not use speaker phone, we ask for you to use headphones or text. Thank you.

Our concerns are for the safety of your children. We understand how challenging it is finding time to spend for yourself. We also understand that your “me time” does not always align with your nail appointments. However, our policy strictly prohibits unsupervised children in the salon. In the event you must bring a young child into the salon, please provide proper supervision for them in the form of an additional caretaker. Unfortunately the salon cannot provide childcare services. Also, young children in carriers/strollers may not be placed near the service areas or held in the lap.We kindly request ONLY those receiving services be present in the service areas. Older children, (12+) capable of sitting quietly and unsupervised, may wait in the provided seating area. While this policy helps ensure that all guests enjoy a relaxing salon experience, it was created with your child’s safety in mind. Our salon is not child-proof. Sharp instruments, chemicals and a busy, congested area make for a potentially dangerous environment for young children. Soak and Polish nail technicans and staff are dedicated to providing each of our guests with the highest level of services possible. We greatly appreciate your compliance with our child safety policy.
